WhiskeyCat MoneyFlow Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) set forth the rights, obligations, responsibilities, and other necessary matters between WhiskeyCat (the “Company”) and the user (“User”) in connection with the User’s use of the services and paid services provided by the Company.

Section 1 (Purpose)

These Terms set forth the basic terms, conditions, and procedures—including rights, obligations, responsibilities, and conditions of use—for the use of the WhiskeyCat MoneyFlow (the “Service”) provided by the Company.

Section 2 (Definitions)

  1. “Service” means the Company’s mobile application as a whole, including budgeting, recordkeeping, and statistical features provided by the Company.
  1. “User” means an individual who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service provided by the Company.
  1. “Paid Services” means services or content the Company provides for a fee.
  1. “Subscription” means the User’s paid access to Paid Services for a specified period in exchange for a fee, which renews automatically.
  1. “Free Trial” means a program under which the Company allows a User to use Paid Services at no cost for a specified period.
  1. “App Store” means mobile application platforms such as the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Section 3 (Effect and Changes to the Terms)

  1. These Terms take effect upon being posted in the WhiskeyCat app or on the Company’s website.
  1. The Company may amend these Terms in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. In the event of amendments, the Company will notify Users in advance.
  1. If a User does not agree to the amended Terms, the User may discontinue use of the Service and terminate the account. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of the amendments constitutes consent to the amended Terms.

Section 4 (User Registration and Account Management)

  1. Users obtain eligibility to use the Service by applying for registration in accordance with procedures established by the Company and consenting to these Terms.
  1. Users must provide accurate information and may not use another person’s information without authorization.
  1. Users may terminate their accounts at any time through the settings menu within the Service.

Section 5 (Provision and Modification of the Service)

  1. The Company provides Users with the following services:
      • Income and expense recording
      • Monthly statistics and reports
      • Spending categorization
      • Multiple ledgers
      • Other features provided by the Company
  1. The Company may change or discontinue parts or all of the Service for operational or technical reasons and will provide advance notice in such cases.
  1. The Company may change the pricing and benefits of the Paid Services and will provide advance notice to Users. Changed pricing will apply beginning with the next billing cycle.

Section 6 (Paid Services and Subscriptions)

  1. The Company provides Paid Services through recurring subscriptions.
  1. Subscriptions are processed through the payment system of the store from which the User downloaded the WhiskeyCat app (hereinafter, the "App Store") and are automatically renewed on a recurring basis in accordance with the policies of the payment system provider.
  1. New Users are offered a designated Free Trial period. After the Free Trial ends, Users must separately purchase a paid Subscription to continue using Paid Services.
  1. The Free Trial is offered once per User upon initial registration and is not granted again if the User withdraws and re-registers or changes accounts.
  1. Users must cancel Subscriptions directly via the App Store’s “Manage Subscriptions” menu. Upon cancellation, no further charges will be incurred from the next billing date.
  1. After cancellation, Users may continue to use the Paid Services until the end of the then-current Subscription term.

Section 7 (Payment and Refund Policy)

  1. Payments for Paid Services are handled in accordance with the policies of the relevant App Store (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play Store). The Company does not process payments or refunds directly.
  1. Refunds after payment are subject to the refund policies of each App Store. The Company is not involved in the refund process.
  1. Refunds are generally not available in the following cases:
      • Requests based on a simple change of mind
      • Automatic conversion to a paid Subscription after a Free Trial
      • Requests made after partial use of the Service followed by cancellation

Section 8 (Restrictions and Termination of Use)

  1. If a User falls under any of the following, the Company may restrict the User’s use of the Service or terminate the User’s account:
      • Violation of these Terms or applicable laws
      • Infringement of others’ rights or engagement in unlawful acts
  1. In the event of restriction or termination, the Company will notify the User before or after such action.

Section 9 (User Obligations)

  1. Users are responsible for safeguarding their account information and must not share their accounts with any third party.
  1. Users must not use the Service in any improper or unlawful manner and must comply with applicable laws and these Terms.

Section 10 (Company Obligations)

  1. The Company will endeavor to provide the Service in a stable manner and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  1. If a service disruption occurs, the Company will work to restore the Service promptly and, if necessary, endeavor to provide appropriate compensation.

Section 11 (Privacy)

The Company protects Users’ personal information. For details, please refer to the separate Privacy Policy.

Section 12 (Disclaimers)

  1. The Company is not liable for service interruptions caused by reasons beyond its control, including acts of God, force majeure, or payment processing outages in the App Store.
  1. The Company is not responsible for damages arising from causes attributable to the User.

Section 13 (Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction)

  1. In the event of a dispute related to the use of the Service, the Company and the User will endeavor to resolve it amicably through good-faith negotiations.
  1. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, either party may file an action in a court of competent jurisdiction in accordance with the Civil Procedure Act of the Republic of Korea.
